Shannon Elizabeth walked into the loft of the RecCenter in Los Angeles; hair in a ponytail, fresh faced, with celebrity-sized sunglasses, all while donning short shorts and a tank. Perfectly personifying an all American college beauty with a beaming smile to match, I knew we would have an easy-breezy shoot. Shannon was radiant even before spending hours in hair and makeup, which is exactly where our girl talk took place.
From Dancing with the Stars to her professional poker career, this model turned actress has a wealth of talent and heart. She was nearly brought to tears as she reminisced of the time she came to fall in love… It was during a trip to Africa she took with Feed The Children where she fell in love with a beautiful 1 year old baby girl, she spent three weeks with her. Shannon is no stranger to travel, as she lived and worked internationally as a model at the beginning of her career; and now, three days after our shoot, she would be jet-setting off to New York to spend her birthday at The Hamptons, then off to Manhattan to attend the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
With a full social calendar and four dogs at home to take care of (Boomer, Katie, Winnie and Casper), she says it’s thanks to her nutritionist and vitamins that keep her energized. Shannon just got done filming her new movie, Night of the Demons, which will be released next month February. Filmed in New Orleans, Shannon played a crazy character named Angela, who turned into a demon. When I asked her if she made a good demon, she just chuckled… I think that was a yes! Look for Shannon with long dark hair and funky eye makeup as Angela in the upcoming horror film. While Shannon admits to getting spooked on past horror movie sets having to check all the closets before she went to bed, this time, for Night of the Demons, it was different. That’s not to say that you won’t be spooked while sitting in the dark theater, you’ll have to watch and see for yourself!

Favorite place: Any beach in the world or Florence, Italy.
Dream trip: Spain! I’d have to wear a red flower in my hair. There would be dancing, definitely!”

Favorite Beauty secret: Sunscreen all over your face and body!
Sexiest Hair Style: Down, wavy and full.
Favorite way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon: The beach with my dogs, I have four! I also have an animal rescue. I love animals.
Most Beautiful Woman you know: Catherine Zeta Jones is radiant. I was at the after party with her the night she won an Oscar, I congratulated her, and she grabbed my hand and said, “Thank you! Can you believe it!” She’s so sweet.
Favorite food: My nutritionist has me on such a strict diet, but my guilty pleasure would have to be oreo ice cream.
Favorite thing about photo shoots: When it’s a wrap!
What would you Twitter about right this second: Oh, I love to twitter. “At a photo shoot, gonna be funky, I’ll post pictures when I’m done”
