Luanna Perez-Garreaud is an avid fashion blogger who hails from Lima, Peru and is now studying fashion merchandising in one of New York’s best fashion schools, the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is only 20 years old and has already gained a large following considering her blog is less than 2 years old. Her style is unique in itself. One day she is channeling punks from the 80’s with a teen witch twist and another day a 70’s hippie with a bit of dark flair. She is definitely not afraid to make a bold statement with any of her pieces. This redhead is sure to turn heads with a fashion sense that is all her own. Her blogs include http://www.le-happy.com and http://drivesshesaid.tumblr.com. She also has a lookbook.nu profile, http://lookbook.nu/luanna.

Your personal style is really fun and eclectic. Where do you get your inspiration?

I am mostly inspired by movies from the 80’s and 90’s! Another very relevant sort of inspiration is elder people that walk on the streets with their vintage garments; they have that true vintage feel! Also, I am constantly inspired by blogs on the Internet and lookbook.nu!

What are staple pieces in your wardrobe? What are staple pieces you think every girl should have in their closet?

My staple pieces are doc martens, a leather jacket, a floppy hat, a cross necklace and a bustier! Those are my favorites and I love the fact that they can be worn in a casual way as well as a dressed up. I think every girl should have those and of course a little black dress and a pair of ripped shorts!

Your hair gets as much attention as your clothes. Have you always had it red? Will you ever change it?

I used to have it reddish brown since that’s my natural hair color. Right now I think I will still be channeling the red hair, but I guess I will get bored of it in less than a year!

Who are your fashion icons?

My fashion icons are Brigitte Bardot and Mary-Kate Olsen!

What inspired you to make a fashion blog?

I think the fact that fashion in Lima, where I come from, was too monotonous and not quirky, and my style was a little bit different. I thought of creating a blog as a platform to share my personal style around the world and get a different kind of feedback!

What is the meaning behind your fashion blog’s name? (If any)

Just two words that I found catchy together, hehe.

Which do you prefer blogspot or tumblr? And why?

I think tumblr is more of a source of random inspiration shots! You can reblog other pictures and use it as a personal inspiration folder with the pictures you like the most! Blogspot is more of a personal fashion diary itself (depends on the blogger of course). I prefer blogspot because it’s like my personal style diary, where I also write about my inspiration and the meaning behind some outfits!

What is the future for http://www.le-happy.com? Are you planning any fashion collaborations? Designing?

I really have no idea! Right now im just blogging for fun, I love to share my personal taste and also interact in the blogging community!

What are you looking to do in fashion? Is it a hobby or future career? I am currently studying Fashion merchandising management at the Fashion Institute of Technology! I would love to work at a fashion magazine or as a stylist for a brand!
