Stores like Jamba Juice have been around for a while now, but currently, the ever popular juicing method is popping up everywhere—from trendy cafes, to health stores, to fad-diet-cleanses, and now….Starbucks is planning to be the next corporation getting on the juice fad!
However, unlike most other fads or unhealthy diets, juicing is a great way to get vital nutrition into your body. Unlike fruit juice, which is mostly sugar (although good for you in small quantities and natural, you still shouldn’t drink too much of,) most juices are made by juicing vegetables, such as leafy greens, celery, and carrots. Don’t fret though—healthy, naturally sweet fruits like apples and berries are sometimes thrown in, and lemon and ginger adds a nice refreshing pop of flavor, while masking the veggie-taste.
Freshly squeezed vegetable juice is an amazing way to get the vegetable into your body in a short amount of time. Babysitting, working, and running from task to task…sometimes we don’t have time or energy to cook or even eat something on the run, no matter how unhealthy. Juices offer a convenient way to load up on nutritious vitamins and minerals, while still being extremely portable.
Not looking to spend $8 on a custom made juice? You can make your own at home! While juicers are your best option, some can run up to $100+, so blenders and food processors are great alternatives. Try some of the following for a quick breakfast, lunch or easy snack!
