One of the most important parts of a woman’s face is her eyebrows. Well-groomed eyebrows perfect the whole face and whatever makeup look you are going for, but well-groomed brows doesn’t necessarily have to mean super thin. Full bold brows stand out and make a statement and, done right, add a beautiful touch to any face. Here are some of the products that you can use to achieve bold brows.

1. Must Have Item:

No matter what your preferred type of brow filler is, a spoolie brush is ESSENTIAL in any brow kit. Even if you are blessed with naturally beautiful brows, it always enhances your look to brush out your brows everyday.

2. Option 1: Brow Gel

Brow gel is a great option for those who don’t need much filling to their brows. Tinted brow gel can add some color and a touch of filling while holding the brows neatly in place throughout the day. Clear brow gels are also great for those who just want to keep brows in place without any extra color. The key here is to use a light hand and very lightly brush the gel throughout the brows. It’s always better to gradually add more than to overdo it at first.

3. Option 2: Brow Pencil

Brow pencil is great to fill in the brows and achieve a full look even for those with sparse brows. Use short sweeping motions to fill and draw in the direction that your hair grows. A great tip to keep the look from getting too harsh is to blend and brush your brows out with a spoolie brush after applying the pencil.

4. Option 3: Brow Powder

Brow powder is also great for filling in sparse brows. With powder, it’s easier to achieve a softer look than with pencil. Use an angled brush and with short strokes, blend the powder into brows.

5. Option 4: Combination

On some days, I like to combine the types of brow products that I use. For example, sometimes I will lightly brush a gel through my brows and then fill in the needed areas with a pencil or powder. Find what works best for you!

One quality that makes any woman unique is the ability to be diverse in everything she does. Our girl of the month is likely one of the most diverse people you will ever come across. Not only does Shelbie model, but she also happens to be a landscape architect, who dabbles in other occupations such as being a chef on a yacht and sailing around the world. A strong young woman who can hold her own, here at DISfunkshion we also love Shelbie for her easy-going attitude and positive aura.

What is one women’s issue that you really care about and see around you the most?

One of the biggest issues that I really care about is about the way that women are treated, women safety, and that every woman has the right to say no.

What is (are) your greatest passion(s)?

I’m a big amateur photographer and I’m totally a nature girl. I love surfing, hiking, and anything outdoors. I’m into preserving nature and the earth and being environmentally friendly. I’m also a family person. I have one brother who is the joy of my life and I am also half Argentinian. I love traveling and have been to South America many times.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I travel a lot all over the world. When I’m not traveling, I’m outside surfing, skate boarding, or hiking. I’m one of those people who will try everything once (within limits, of course).

What is a piece of advice that you can give to other young women?

Don’t ever give up on your dreams. If you’re positive, you can achieve your dreams. For the darkest day, you’ll have the brightest day ahead of you.

Who is the greatest role model in your life?

It would be a combination of my mom and my dad. They’re polar opposites. My dad is incredibly smart but also caring and sensitive. My mom has a spirit that never gives up. They both live their lives that way and have also managed to make an incredible family together. As for someone iconic, Jackie Kennedy would be my greatest role model. She was a very strong woman, but she was always her own person. She didn’t let anyone else tell her what to do, but she also managed to live in a family where they could very easily have told her what to do and how to be. She had such grace and style, was loved by everyone, and had an amazing family.

It seems like years since I have thought of you my sweet, naïve and insecure past. Much has certainly happened when you blinked and grew up. But tonight I re-visit you with much fondness and some words of wisdom to help you grow into the person you are destined to be.

You were once a chubby, humble young girl, with dreams of changing the world and making it a better place. You thought everyone was good and had no malice. You worked hard, knowing you’d make it despite your 700 academic setbacks and you prayed each and every night, with all the faith in the world, that your knight-in-shining-armor, your soul mate, would find you and you would have the happily ever after you knew deep down you deserved.

Your feelings were often hurt and your heart spent a lot of time broken by senseless boys. But your daddy was always there to kiss your forehead and tell you how beautifully perfect you were. Your mom became your biggest fan and tackled each obstacle you were thrown head on, right by your side. You had a brother who swore he would’ve picked you as a friend, if you weren’t his sister, but let’s be real- He was always way cooler and had it not been for a blood-relation, you would’ve never shared in his “coolness”. Finally, you had a family…oh did you have a family…and they thought you were the sunshine of their lives.

Then little Nicki, you grew up….and your dreams came true my sweet girl. While you still rock your size 14 (sometimes 16, sometimes 12) jeans, you wear them better than anyone I know! You are certainly changing the world around you- just not in the grand scale you thought. Each and every day you wake up and stumble into the classroom-Coffee MUST be in hand- and you teach crazy, hormonal teenagers about God, English, and Reading and you change their lives and they change yours. You are better because of it and they ARE the sunshine of your life (sometimes the storms too, lol).

You learned not everyone is good and malicious and ill-natured people exist in this world. But you recognize you were put on this Earth to counter-act them. You are their kryptonite (oh would my husband be proud) and you weaken them by being you. Of course it gets hard and there are plenty of days you want to give up, but you don’t because good ALWAYS out beats evil…no question, no doubts!

You graduate with a Masters degree from a prestigious university and you do it because of your brain, dysfunctional as it is, hard work, and support. Your feelings are still hurt on occasion because that’s life….and your dad is still your hero. Your mom is still your inspiration and your brother is your very BEST friend and now you are equally cool because you have a kick-ass blog . Your family is perfectly functional, despite the missing links smiling down from Heaven.

And here is the clincher…the happy ending… the worth reading and waiting for…the prayers answered…

The love of your life, your soul mate, your knight-in-shining-armor FINDS YOU. On a fluke, on a whim, on a magical chance of fate, on God’s path- he finds you and proposes. You say yes and you marry THE love of YOUR life. The only person that can help you fulfill ALL of the best of you and helps diminish the worst of you. He saves you and becomes your salvation-your ticket to Heaven. And HE IS SEXY AS HELL, INTELLIGENT LIKE NO OTHER, AND THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT CATCH! AND…HE IS YOURS, ALL YOURS!!!!!

So ladies and gentlemen (who am I to discriminate)… Your dreams WILL COME TRUE and YOU WILL BECOME WHO YOU WANT TO BE; trust me! I swear it. Your “young selves” will be proud of who you become. Give them credit and embrace them, they are learning and will one day look back and teach.

Blissful Living,

Nicki Garcia

You may know her as Amarixe on YouTube and in the beauty blogging world, but before making her debut online, she was known to those close to her as Allison. This upbeat young lady is finishing up her college career and getting ready to go out, adventure, and find her true calling. For tips on beauty and life in general and to see how she makes it in the sea of YouTube gurus, check out our exclusive interview with her as well as her YouTube channel and blog.

http://www.youtube.com/Amarixe

http://www.amarixe.com/

What is your major?

I am double majoring in psychology and broadcast communication. I was originally pre-med hoping to be a psychiatrist, but after starting YouTube I realized how much I loved broadcasting, so I decided to switch to a double major instead!

Do you have any other interests in college?

I’m involved in extracurricular activities with my communication department. This semester I’m part of a show on our student cable network, both on camera and as a writer, which is really fun!

What are your plans after graduation?

I know I’ll be moving to a bigger city, but I haven’t quite figured out what I want to do there yet. I’ll definitely continue doing YouTube and blogging, and I would like to get involved in something else with broadcasting too. The wild side of me says I should take off for a round-the-world sightseeing adventure before settling down with a job, but I don’t think that’s going to happen!

Who is “Amarixe”/”Allison”? How would you describe yourself?

I think I’m a pretty positive person, I usually try to look at things “glass half full.” I would say I’m friendly, but not always extremely outgoing. I have a tendency to be a bit of a hermit! Amarixe has become almost an alter ego for me… I came up with the name on a whim when signing up for YouTube account. My middle name is Marie, and AMarie was taken, so I threw an “x” in there and the rest is history! Amarixe is a little more social, more outgoing than Allison I think

What is your motto of life? Do you have a favorite quote that you live by?

One of my favorite quotes is, “Let go or be dragged.” I saw it on a magnet, and I love it because it reminds me not to take life too seriously, and to look to the future instead of dwelling on the past.

When did you first spark an interest in makeup?

I’ve been interested in makeup for as long as I can remember. When I was seven, all my best friend and I wanted to do was paint our nails blue and smear glitter all over our face. While my makeup tastes have matured over the years, I’ve always found it to be really fun.

When and why did you decide to start your YouTube channel?

I decided to start a channel after watching beauty videos on YouTube for a few months. It looked like so much fun, and it happened to be summer so I had a lot of free time. I never thought it would go anywhere though. Now I can’t believe it has been almost three years! I think of how much time I put into YouTube and blogging and wonder what I did with it before I started making videos. I can’t really imagine life without YouTube now.

Did you expect such an amazing response to your videos? What was your initial reaction?

I definitely didn’t expect a positive response to my videos. I figured after uploading a few, I would probably just delete my channel. Additionally, I didn’t expect to fall in love with YouTube the way I have. I don’t think I’ve ever truly loved anything else as much.

How many YouTube subscribers do you have?

Close to 175,000 now. It feels pretty unreal… I never thought I would get ten subscribers, let alone this many.

Being an online personality can be very time consuming, how to you balance out your busy schedule? When do you fit in time for filming and posting to your blog?

Well, I’ve been a bit absent from YouTube the last couple of months because I’m in my last semester of college and really need to dedicate my time to that. In general though, I’ve just made YouTube fit into my life. I’ve gotten a lot better with time management and organizing my day to do the things I want to do. When you really love doing something, you find a way to keep doing it! I’ll film a video in between classes, edit it that night, and upload it the next day (sometimes while in class… shhh!).

Unfortunately, there are some negative people around online. How do you deal with/handle negative comments/responses?

Surprisingly, it doesn’t bother me. One of my biggest reservations with starting a channel was the negativity on the internet, but I quickly found I have thicker skin than I thought. If that is the way someone wants to spend their time, I think the problem is in their life, not mine.

Where do you get your video and blogging inspirations?

I try to pull inspiration from everywhere, not just the beauty world. I’ve been inspired for different videos/looks by places I’ve visited, songs, photos, and tv shows. I don’t necessarily consider myself an artist, but I do like tapping into my more creative side when making videos.

What do you see in your future in YouTube and blogging? (i.e. expansions, etc.)

I’m not quite sure yet! I would like to venture further into the YouTube/blogging world, but that is something I’m waiting to re-evaluate after I’ve graduated this spring. I’m too focused on the college thing at the moment to put too much energy into anything else! I’ve toyed with the idea of everything from starting my own company to making videos on a completely different topic!

Who is the most influential person in your life?

My mom. Cliche, I know, but she really has always been my best friend and my biggest supporter. I think she’s the reason I’m not afraid to follow my dreams.

What is your MUST HAVE/everyday beauty product that you absolutely can’t live without? (I know—it’s hard to choose!)

Haha this is really hard! I guess if I had to get really technical, I would choose my LUSH Honey Trap lip balm, but actual makeup-wise, it would have to be foundation. As for which foundation, it’s been a three-way tie lately between my Laura Mercier Silk Creme, Smashbox BB Cream, and Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I can’t choose between the three at the moment!

What is are your latest beauty and health obsessions?

I’ve been getting into Soap & Glory products for the first time lately. I started by purchasing their Hand Food cream, then picked up one of their facial cleansers and body washes. I’m yet to be disappointed with any of them! As for health obsessions, I’ve discovered the torture of Jillian Michael’s DVDs this month, and it’s a bit of a love-hate relationship.

Who is your beauty icon?

There isn’t one single person that I idolize when It comes to beauty, but lately I’ve been loving Mila Kunis’ looks. She always seems to be rocking these really smoldering eyeshadow looks that are subtle but stand out at the same time.

Do you swear by beauty trends or are you an “anything, anytime” kind of guru?

I like playing around with trends, but I’m a firm believer that you should wear whatever you want, whenever you want. That’s what makes beauty so creative and fun!

Which stores do you frequent most often for your beauty purchases?

Nordstrom, Ulta, Sephora, and Target. I love Nordstrom and Sephora because you can try everything before purchasing. I like Ulta and Target because they have a wider selection of beauty products, and some of the best prices!

Which products do you tend to spend the most on and why?

Probably foundation and blush. I’m not afraid to splurge on a foundation because if your skin looks nice and glowy, everything else will follow. As for blush, I’m kind of a hoarder because it’s my favorite type of product, therefore I find myself splurging more often.

Which products do you tend to spend the least on and why?

Mascara! It has such a short shelf life (you’re supposed to toss it after about 3 months), so I hate the idea of spending extra money on something I can’t use very long. I usually only have 1 or 2 mascaras at a time.

Tell us something about yourself that we don’t already know.

I’m a bit of a thrill seeker. I have an adventurous side to me. I don’t think a lot of people see that part of me when I’m talking about makeup, I think often times I’m mistaken as being a bit prissy. In reality, I love trying new things, and I like being outdoors. I plan on learning to rock climb after I graduate!

What is your dream travel destination and why?

It’s hard to choose just one place… I want to go everywhere! If I could go somewhere today, I would choose some remote beach on a tropical island where I could relax and scuba dive. It would be a nice break from the rainy spring weather I’m stuck in here! I’ve also always wanted to backpack through Europe. Hopefully one day I’ll do it!

What is the greatest piece of advice or what words would you like to offer all of your viewers and readers?

Over the years, one of the topics I’ve been asked most about is self-esteem and confidence. It’s heartbreaking that today there are so many young people who don’t believe in themselves and think their worth is measured by what other people think of them. My biggest advice is to find a way to be confident in yourself. Be your own best friend. Once you decide to stop beating yourself up over things and embrace who you are, your entire world will change. Trust me, I’ve been there!

Help us get to know who Ralph Velasco is. Please describe yourself in one sentence.

I’m a travel photography instructor, public speaker, assignment photographer, author and international photo tour guide, as well as creator of the My Shot Lists for Travel app for iPhone and iPod touch.

What was the very first means of travel you took that you can remember? Airplane, boat, road trip perhaps? Where were you headed?

We had lots of family road trips in our red and white van and seems we were either headed to southern Wisconsin from Chicago, my hometown, or down to Florida.

What was the first state you visited outside of your birth state? What was the most memorable moment of that trip?

I’d have to say it was probably Wisconsin. We’d head up to Paddock Lake, just over the Illinois border, to have huge picnics with extended family and friends.

Which country landed you your first stamp in your passport? How was that experience?

Although I’d been to Mexico several times with my family at an even younger age, I don’t think you needed a passport then, so my first overseas experience was at age 15 when I studied for a summer in Madrid, Spain. For three straight summers after that I volunteered in Peru, volunteered in Venezuela, and studied in Mexico City.

What are some of the most exotic places you have been?

Certainly Cuba, India and Egypt would have to be at the top of that list.

Of everywhere in the world you have traveled to, what are the top three locations that you would recommend people to travel to? What do you find so special about these places?

Cuba is my favorite country in which to photograph. The people have interesting faces and are very open to being photographed, and there are wonderful backdrops and incredible light that just seems to make the colors pop, and great clouds, too. India is similar in that the people dress in brightly colored clothes, have unique facial features and coloring, and the food is second to none. And finally, if I had to pick one, Montenegro is my favorite country I’ve traveled to so far. It was the overall experience of being in the world’s newest country at the time (2007), having great food and drink, it’s relatively inexpensive and basing ourselves in Kotor, which is located on the southern-most fjord in Europe, the scenery is spectacular.

What is your favorite part of traveling? The journey, the people & culture, escaping for a while, etc.?

Getting away from the familiar, the ordinary, the expected. It really bothers me when people complain that there’s no ice for their cocktail, or the accommodations aren’t up to their standards, or they have issues with the locals. I travel to escape the familiar and experience new cultures, not to look for what I already know. I might as well stay at home for that and save a bunch of time and money.

When did you first develop your passion for photography?

Probably on that first trip to Spain. When I returned my friends and family told me my pictures were beyond the standard snapshots, and so that was encouraging and I knew I wanted to make travel and photography my life. Took me quite a few years to figure out just how to do that, but I eventually did, and I’m testament to the fact that it’s never too late to become what you might have been.

What kind of cameras do you use? How many do you travel with at once?

I’m a Nikon shooter, and my main camera is the Nikon D300s. It’s not the latest and greatest model because I’m not someone who chases technology. The first tip in my book is that it’s not about the camera. And my challenge to people for 2012 is to spend time learning the craft of photography, not money on bigger and “better” gear. Or at least spend that money on more travel so that you’re getting yourself in front of interesting subjects that can make for great photography.

How did your passions for photography and travel eventually lead you to creating your blog?

Several people encouraged me to start a blog, but I was reluctant because I didn’t think I had the time, but I knew that my static websites were not effective for search engine optimization and that I was missing out on having people find my site by not maintaining a dynamic blog, which search engines like Google prefer. Now it’s the best thing I could have done, I really enjoy it and people are finding me and so that’s generated a lot of awareness and then translated into sales of my book and eBook, iPhone app and classes and tours. Everything I do is about helping everyday photography enthusiasts to capture better photos of their travels, whether venturing around the world or around the corner. A bonus is that over my first year of blogging I’ve already made a number of “best of” lists created by some well-respected people in the travel industry, so wanting to live up to those accolades definitely keeps me motivated.

What is the most rewarding thing about your job and lifestyle?

Certainly the idea that I get paid to travel the world and see some of the most wonderful people and places one can imagine is a great reward, but equally important is the fact that I get to help a lot of people to see and experience these places through new eyes, and to help them capture these locations like they’ve never been able to before. I’m helping them to learn a skill they can use for the rest of their lives.

As someone who is very well rounded and has seen many perspectives of the world that most people have not, have you acquired any kind of motto, or maybe even a compilation of mottos that you live by now?

I’m extremely fortunate in that my parents believed in higher education, even though neither one of them completed college, it just wasn’t something people did where they grew up. I’ve got an undergraduate degree in business from Indiana University and an MBA in International Business, but I truly believe that the best education is travel, no question about it, and again because my parents had a lot of trust in me and they believed in the benefits of travel, I was introduced to a world of wonders at a very early age, which paved the way for where I am today.

A quote I love is: ”The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” ~ St. Augustine

When you’re on the move, what types of activities do you like to participate in?

I really enjoy getting up with the dawn and experiencing a location before it wakes up, when it’s the locals on their way to work and the kids on their way to school. I want to be out before the tourists because it’s the locals I want in my photographs. Plus the light is usually better early in the morning, it’s typically cooler at that time, there are less insects out, traffic is non-existent, and there are so many other reasons.

Even the round-the-clock traveler needs a refuge. When you return home, what do you like to do?

Although I love to travel to experience the unfamiliar, I like being home to get back to the familiar, too. It’s nice to not have to live out of a suitcase or have to find a hotel each night or a place to eat. I look forward to my own bed, family and friends, my favorite restaurants and the usual places I like to go. Seems like they’re all new to me again when I come back, especially from an extended period away.

What do you do to unwind after a travel experience?

At times I’ll be gone for as much as two months, so if I can, I try to schedule at least a few days after a trip for when I arrive home to catch up on mail, do laundry, grocery shopping and other tasks that have surely piled up. It’s also nice to be able to sleep off jet lag and get back on local time, which can be tough when coming from halfway around the world. Then it’s nice to go to a familiar restaurant that maybe I missed when I was away.

How do you think gaining traveling experience benefits people in today’s world?

Being exposed to new people, cultures and customs can only be a good thing, and like I said, travel is the best education one can get.

What is your number one tip or piece of advice for those planning to travel abroad?

Be flexible and have realistic expectations. Things probably aren’t going to operate just like they do when you’re at home, and that’s part of the adventure. Give yourself time so that when things do go wrong, and they will, you can roll with it and not miss that plane, train or bus.

What is the biggest lesson you have learned from traveling?

I’ve learned that as different as we may seem to be on the surface, people are still the same all over the world. We all have basic needs in common like food, shelter and security, and for the most part we all want to be happy and have a better future to look forward to.

What tips can you offer for those looking to travel, but are on a budget?

Transportation and housing are typically the most expensive parts of travel, so perhaps going overland can cut back on costs. Certainly traveling off-season, or during shoulder season will save lots of money, and help you to avoid the crowds. Look for destinations where your home currency is strong and the exchange rate is favorable. And nowadays with services like Couch Surfing and HomeAway and others, we can find accommodations that are relatively inexpensive, if not free. It seems the hardest thing to do is find the time, but it’s up to us to make the time.

Where do you see yourself and your company going in the future? Expansion?

As you can imagine, I have lots of ideas for future tours I’d like to operate. This year I’m doing at least two People-to-People programs in Cuba, a Danube River cruise, a photo tour of Spain and one of the Copper Canyon in Mexico, but I’m sure I’ll fit some others in between. I’ll also be in Chicago leading a group as well as in San Francisco where I do a Photo Walking Tour over the Golden Gate bridge and back. Having recently returned from a 35-day assignment where I shot the travel images for a cookbook on the regional cuisine of Mexico, I’d also like to do more assignment photography. The publisher is already asking me about my availability over the next year to shoot the next book on the cuisines of Argentina and Chile, so that’s exciting.

For next year I’m looking at several more programs in Cuba, and photo tours of Turkey, Tuscany and Provence, and I’ll likely do Spain again and other parts of Mexico.

What is the next location on the top of your “To Visit” list? Why did you choose this place?

I haven’t spent enough time in Southeast Asia, and so I’m very keen to get over to Cambodia, Laos, Viet Nam and Thailand. I love Southeast Asian food, and I hear it’s very inexpensive and the people are great and the photo ops virtually endless, so I’m looking forward to heading over there in the next year or so. A few other places I’ll be making my way to soon are Colombia, Poland, the Baltics and Turkey, as well.

Lastly, can you please leave our readers with your favorite inspirational quote?

Can I give you two?

With regards to the importance of getting out in the best light of the day, which I spoke of earlier, there are two quotes that I love:

Patrick Symmes says: “If you don’t like getting up early, then be a writer.”

And Franklin D. Roosevelt said “I think too much is said of the good luck of the early bird and not enough about the bad luck of the early worm.”

I think they’re both very humorous, but absolutely true.

My birthday is coming up which means I’ll be another year older, and by popular belief, another year wiser. However, as of late, I’ve realized that as we grow older and gain more experience and wisdom, it’s amazing how reality can sometimes quickly transform our morals.

And, while many of us reflect and embrace the “had you known then what you know now” notion and mentally apply conjured advice back to your younger self, I thought that it would be courageous of me to offer advice from my future self to my current self and tackle the unknown, since a future version of myself would invariably have more wisdom than my current self.

Here are my nuggets of wisdom from an older, sagacious me that could help not only my current self but all of us avoid major life bumps:

Live your life on your own terms — everyone’s approval isn’t needed.

Be patient…the stars align in time.

Love will have its day… not to be measured by another’s.

Give people more than they expect.

There’s a difference between giving up and knowing when you’ve had enough. Apply each accordingly.

Silence is golden. There’s no need to attend every argument you’re invited to.

Fasten your seatbelt. Someone needs you.

If you don’t ask, the answer will always be “No”.

Promise is a big word. It either makes something, or it breaks everything.

Keep a journal or take more pictures. You will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Have faith. Sometimes the reason why we hold on to something so tight is because we fear something so great won’t happen twice.

No one looks back on their life and remembers the nights they had plenty of sleep. Have fun.

I’m sure I will look back at these nuggets of wisdom ten or twenty years from now and understand the experiences I’ve undergone that have led me to learn all these points. Though, perhaps, after knowing this, my 30s will be a very different story.

Ever notice the types of questions you ask when you go on a first date? They’re simple, non-threatening and safe. But safe does not always mean the best.

What happens when you get to a point in a relationship where the answers to the hot topics you wished you’d discussed earlier unravel before you and they don’t match your own morals?

Ideally, it seems you’d be more likely to be with someone for the long haul if they share similar beliefs as you, right?

What you typically ask:

What’s your favorite color?

Where did you grow up? Go to high school? College? What did you study?

What do you do for a living?

Do you like to travel? Where have you been?

Are you an animal lover?

What you should ask:

What are your religious views?

What’s your relationship like with your family?

Do you want to get married and have kids someday?

Where do you see yourself living someday, potentially with a family?

How well do you manage money?

Are you a Republican or a Democrat?

How many ex-girlfriends have you had? Why did those relationships end?

Of course, no one wants to come on too strong and give their date the third degree on the first meeting, but by bringing up uncomfortable major life topics you’ll find out where each person stands and it’ll help you make an informed decision as to whether you can see yourself in a long-term relationship with them. The last thing you want is too get too involved and too deep emotionally before you know that your non-negotiable desires in a partner are met.

This look is a neutral but very pretty go-to look for everyday wear. It’s perfect for school, the office, or any time you want to beautifully but subtly enhance your facial features without going too overboard.

Eyes

Step 1:

Pat a bronze cream shadow all over the lids and blend upward into the crease of the eye with a flat synthetic brush.

Step 2:

Buff a warm medium brown eye shadow into the crease of the eye and blend slightly upward with a fluffy dome-shaped brush.

Step 4:

Work a darker red-brown into the outer-V of the eye with the same fluffy brush.

Step 5:

Apply dark brown eyeliner to the top and bottom lash lines.

Step 1:

Prime the skin for foundation.

Step 2:

Apply foundation onto the skin with a flat paddle brush and buff in with a duo-fiber brush to eliminate streaks. Too keep it even more natural, try a tinted moisturizer.

Step 3:

Gently pat concealer under the eyes and onto blemishes with a blending brush or clean fingertips.

Step 4:

Lightly powder the face with a big fluffy brush, concentrating on the T-Zone.

For the most part, I prefer a neutral palette with warm colors to a basic palette of blacks and grays. In this very comfortable look, I incorporated a bit of contemporary minimalist with bohemian touches such as the turquoise, ripped jeans and ethnic bag.

Champagne top and jeans: Forever 21, Maroon bandeau: Brandy Melville, Turquoise ring: So Good Jewelry Waikiki, Peruvian Bag: Siam Imports, Sun glasses: Zumies.
