Digital Tickets, The New Concert Experience

Digital Tickets, The New Concert Experience

For the past two years, the band 30 Seconds to Mars has been touring nonstop for their 2009 album “This Is War”.  Next week marks the band’s 300th and final show, which will bring their eventful tour to an end. But also brings a unique accomplishment, as they will be inducted into the Guiness Book of World Records for most shows performed during an album cycle. It will all take place in New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, and is sure to end their tour with a bang.

This is a huge achievement this is for band members, Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, and Tomo Milicevic, however, they were aware that it’s something in which the large number of their fans around the would not be able to attend.   They wanted fans from every corner of the globe to have a chance in experiencing this special event, so they teamed up with the new site VyRT (http://vyrt.net/), which is the “first ever digital ticket experience”.  It will allow fans to live stream the concert in high definition on their computers, bringing the excitement of a concert into the comfort of their own homes.

“The option to buy a virtual ticket is awesome because it gives you the chance to be at another concert, even if it’s in a country you can’t go to!” said Marilia, a 30 Seconds to Mars fan from Greece who had just purchased her VyRT ticket.

The digital tickets being sold for this 30 Seconds to Mars show is another huge progression in technology. In this day and age, social media and the ever-changing pieces of technical equipment have changed the world. The way we communicate with people, the way we listen to music, and the way we acquire information in society today is greatly used through technology.  This concert will show that we now have the ability to use technology in socially connecting ourselves with concerts.

Of course, nothing compares to physically seeing one’s favorite band live. The experience of actually being there is an indescribable feeling that can never be replaced through a digital screen. However, this is the next best thing. The tickets are only $14.99, which is ideal for anyone on a budget. Typical concert tickets are generally pretty pricey, making VyRT a great alternative. Digital tickets may revolutionize the way concerts happen in the future, turning the intimate experience of concerts into a global gathering amongst fans. As well as breaking a world record, 30 Seconds to Mars seems to be paving the way for the innovative digital ticket experience.

If you’re a fan of the band, or if you’re curious about what this virtual ticket experience will be like, visit http://vyrt.net/ for more information.
