It’s that time of year again! The crisp fall air is all around us, leaving most of us with a feeling of dryness—either coming from the colder weather outside, or the artificial heat surrounding us in our, homes, schools, and work places. While heat is something we should not take for granted, it can definitely wreak havoc on your skin and hair.
What’s a girl to do? Try some of these products and let the moisture in!
Alba Aloe & Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer ($18, albabotanica.com)
This lotion is a miracle in a bottle. Yes, it tends to be on the pricy side, but a little goes a long way. All natural and oil free, it will be kind to your skin without leaving you feeling greasy or prone to breakouts. The thick lotion will penetrate into your skin, leaving any flakes behind, as well as dissolving in minutes, leaving you with a non-sticky, non-greasy feeling!
Desert Essence 100% Pure Jojoba Oil ($12.29, desertessence.com)
Jojoba oil is natural, 100% pure oil that not only moisturizes skin, but instead of clogging pores, it actually clears and cleans them! Simply add a few drops to your lotion at night, or rub it by itself on dry skin. Another perk? You can use it on your scalp or hair for some extra conditioning!
Vaseline Petroleum Jelly ($3, drugstore.com)
Simple, old, tried-and-true Vaseline. It’s true: it’s a miracle worker! Vaseline can be rubbed over any dry skin (those with oily or acne prone skin should skip this on the face, however) as well as dry elbows, knees, and yes…even around or in the nose (we know we all get dry around there)!
Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Frizz Defeat Deep Treatment ($5, garnierusa.com)
Dry hair? Use this rich and creamy deep conditioner for some locks that scream health. Simply let sit on freshly washed hair for about three minutes, and then wash it out, and hair will not only be fully moisturized, but silky, frizz-free, and radiantly shiny! Fine-haired girls: careful to only use this on the lower portion of your hair (from your ears down), and everyone should only use this product around three times a week, maximum, for full results!
