Take a trip to Arizona with contributing photographer, Ellyse Nichole. She captured a few of her favorite locations, some under-the-radar and others well-known. Here’s a glimpse of Arizona, behind her lense.
Saguaro Hotel
I am a sucker for color and this boutique hotel located in the heart of Scottsdale exudes it fantastically. From the vibrant cabanas to the perfectly decorated rooms, this hotel is a dream retreat.
Open Air Market at Phoenix Public market
After living in predominately pedestrian cities, I became accustomed to buying only what I could carry at markets. After moving to Arizona I came across this quaint farmers market where the people were extremely friendly and the produce was pristine. This market is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to noon. This spot is a great way to start your weekend as you can shop, sip some coffee and nibble on some local treats.
Vegan, locally sourced, handmade and run by a mother-daughter duo: what else could spell out recipe for success?! This spot is full of yummy, innovative treats made with love. From wraps to juices and some of the best desserts I’ve ever tasted, you cannot go wrong ordering from this small, local gem!
Dig It Urban Nursery
Plants are a huge part of my life and finding good quality ones can sometimes be tricky. Thanks to this trendy urban nursery, my plant prayers have been answered. The folks that own the shop are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and have the cutest collection of unique pots. Highly recommend checking out this spot and snagging a succulent, as the warm weather is here to stay!
Diego Pops
If you want to be transported to a trendy taco paradise, Diego Pops is the spot for you. The collection of innovative beverages is nothing short of delicious. One of the favorite crowd pleasers is the ever-playful Snow Cone margarita. My personal favorites are the Brussels Sprout nachos and the guava coconut beverage (it is served in an actual coconut). Diego Pops is a tranquil spot to sip great drinks, try out some unique bites, chill by their fantastic fire pit and catch up with friends.
